These are the terms for the Builder Partner Program — the Builder Affiliate track and the Build Support track. When you submit an application and check “I agree to the sponsorship program terms,” this is the page you’re agreeing to.
The Builder Partner Program is how truck builders, installers, trail builders, shops, and creators partner with 4x4 Rockcats. It has two tracks:
The program is open to applicants in the contiguous United States right now. Our site Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy also apply.
Applying is free and creates no obligation on either side. Real people read every application, and you’ll typically hear back within two business days. Acceptance is at 4x4 Rockcats’ sole discretion — applying does not guarantee acceptance, product, a code, or compensation, and we may decline an application without stating a reason. We may also ask for more information before deciding.
Keep your application accurate. Applications with inflated audience or build claims are declined. One application per track can be in review at a time; if your application is declined, you’re welcome to reapply after 90 days.
What you submit — including photos — is used to evaluate your application and to contact you about the program. For Builder Affiliate applications we also keep a consent record: which boxes you checked, the terms version you accepted, a timestamp, and the IP address and browser information of the submission. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.
If you’re accepted, onboarding covers the specifics: we set up your tracking link and code, share approved product assets, and confirm in writing the terms that apply to you.
Program participants are independent. Nothing in this program creates an employment, agency, partnership, joint-venture, franchise, or dealer relationship with 4x4 Rockcats, and participants have no authority to make commitments on Rockcats’ behalf.
There is no exclusivity in either direction: you can work with other brands, and we work with other builders. Being in the program grants no dealer pricing and no dropship rights — those are separate programs with their own applications and agreements.
As an independent participant you’re responsible for your own taxes. Before we pay commission we collect any required tax paperwork (for example a W-9), and we report payments where the law requires it (for example 1099 reporting).
Builder Affiliate applicants check four consents on the application. Here is each one, exactly as it appears on the form, and what it means in practice.
“I will disclose my relationship with Rockcats (e.g. “#ad”, “Rockcats sent this”, “I may earn commission through this link”).”
Every piece of content that involves the partnership — posts, videos, stories, link shares — must disclose the relationship clearly and conspicuously, on every platform where it appears. Put the disclosure where people actually see it, not buried in a fold of hashtags.
“I grant Rockcats a limited right to repost my approved content with credit.”
You own your content. This is a limited license: we may repost content you’ve approved, and we credit you when we do. If we ever want to use your content in paid advertising, we’ll ask separately.
“I will keep public offers at or above Rockcats’ advertised price (MAP-compliant).”
Don’t publicly advertise Rockcats products below our advertised price. Share the discount code we issue you rather than inventing your own offers — your code is the deal.
“I understand dealer and dropship access are separate programs, not included here.”
This program is affiliate commission and product support. It does not include wholesale dealer pricing or dropship rights; those have their own applications and agreements.
Make honest content. Don’t make safety, DOT or other legal-compliance, warranty, or performance claims beyond Rockcats-approved product language — if you’re not sure whether a claim is approved, ask us first.
Attribution. Sales are attributed through your tracking link and discount code. Commission attaches to the code actually applied to an order at checkout — if a customer checks out with a different code, that order is attributed to that code, not to you.
What earns commission. Commission accrues on qualified net product sales attributed to you. It excludes tax, shipping, cancelled or refunded orders, chargebacks, and non-product fees. Your commission rate is confirmed in writing during onboarding.
Payment. Commission is paid monthly, after the return and refund window for the underlying orders has cleared. Once you’re approved and earning, we collect your payout details and any required tax paperwork before the first payout; payouts may be subject to a minimum threshold, confirmed during onboarding.
Verification. We review attributed orders before paying — orders that don’t qualify (for example, cancelled or refunded ones) are removed from the commission base.
Build Support is for strong-fit builders who may not yet have sales volume. It can include demo, discounted, or seeded product, early access to new products, and content collaboration — all case by case, with a path to the affiliate track once you’re selling.
Accepted Build Support partners receive a written sponsorship agreement covering the product or support provided, content expectations, usage rights, and duration. That signed agreement — not this page — governs the engagement, and nothing ships and nothing is owed until both sides sign it.
Either side can end participation at any time with written notice — email works. We may suspend or end participation immediately if the commitments in section 04 or the content standards are violated.
When participation ends, your discount code and tracking link are deactivated and you stop creating new promotional content about the partnership. Keep the required disclosures on sponsored content that stays up.
Qualified sales attributed to you before your end date remain payable on the normal schedule, after the return and refund window for those orders has cleared.
These terms are version 1.0. When you submit a Builder Affiliate application, that version number is recorded on your application together with the consents you checked and a timestamp — so there’s never a question about which terms you accepted.
This version is under legal review, and an effective date will be set when that review completes. If the review changes these terms, the version number changes with it — your application record always shows the version you actually accepted.
If we update these terms, the version number changes, and we notify active partners of material changes.
